Horse Care
The safety and care of the horses is our priority. RMEC and Sleepy Hollow Farm have many full time employees providing daily care including nightly checks.
Included in monthly board...
- Turnout daily, weather permitting
- Grass hay twice a day and during turnout
- Grass hay three times a day during inclement weather
- Complete pelleted feed twice a day as needed for good health
- Blanketing & unblanketing
- Stalls & runs cleaned daily
Vet & Farrier
The barn vet is Dr. Mark Fitch, DVM. He provides routine care such as shots, deworming, and emergency care at client's request. Clients may use the vet of their choice, and Sleepy Hollow Farm staff will coordinate appointments and consultations as desired.
The barn farrier is Mark Kuykendall, but clients may use the farrier of their choice.
Supplements
Sleepy Hollow Farm staff oversees each horse's needs. For additional charges, supplements may be given including lunch or at regular feedings as directed by each client. They will work with your veterinarian and farrier for other special needs.

RMEC Handbook for Boarders
RMEC publishes a “Handbook for Boarders” explaining policies, services, and emergency procedures. The handbook is given to new boarders and is available to others upon request.
